Force And Motion
The Force & Motion sequence consists of three curriculum units, which integrate math science, engineering and literacy across the elementary grades.
Mech-a-Blocks are sets of brightly colored pegboard shapes and paper fasteners, which children use to construct and experiment with mechanical devices.
This unit focuses on the analysis and design of two-dimensional mechanical linkages, constructed from pegboard strips and boards, joined by pivots.
Pop-ups are three dimensional linkages, which richly illustrate concepts of motion in two and three dimensions, distance, angle, parallel and intersecting lines, symmetry and systems.
