Standard Symbols
Below are the standard circuit symbols students will use in this unit.
There are also some standard rules for using the circuit symbols. Following these rules makes the diagrams neat and easy to understand:
- Use horizontal or vertical straight lines to represent wires between circuit parts.
- Use square corners between horizontal and vertical lines.
- Put the battery on the left and the loads (LED and/ or buzzer) on the right.
- Put switches on top.
